Love Affair

Dear Candy Corn,

I am breaking up with you. You are tasty and sweet but I can't tell you "no." While I like you I have stronger feelings for my beloved gummi's and if we continue our current relationship I will no longer fit into my jeans. Please don't take it personal. Maybe I will be strong enough for you next year.

Love,
Megan

p.s. - this means you too little pumpkins.

Photography and Pumpkins

The kids and I just came back from a visit to Oklahoma. We timed our visit so that I could go to a photography class this last Saturday. Aside from the class we stayed very busy exploring, enjoying the weather, seeing friends, and going swimming. On Saturday my class was from 9:30-6 and so the grandparents had kid-duty. Here are some pictures from one of their outings.

The grandparents had the kids and they went to Pumpkin Town.

The class was great and I would highly recommend it. I am more comfortable with my camera and now just have to practice, practice, practice what I learned. The class was led by Ashley who is a local Tulsa area blogger...you should definitely check out her blog. It is one of my favorites!

Thanks again to my Mom and Dad for watching the kiddos!

NY Part 1

Since we are about to embark on another trip to visit family I decided I needed to get my butt in gear and post some of our pictures from NY. We had a wonderful time playing with all the cousins.

This was the cousin picture from last year (2009)....

And this year (2010)...they had to be bribed with cookies to all sit still.

Owen is 5.

Ryan is 4.

Elaina is 3.

Adam is 2.

Audrey is 2.

Jack is 1.

Hannah is 1.

Needless to say it was controlled chaos with 7 grandchildren 5 and under. But so fun to have them all together. The first few days we were all in NY and then we drove down to Pittsburgh with 3 of the cousins for a few days in PA. After that we returned to NY to play some more with the other 2 cousins. Jack and Hannah had a blast with everyone and were just plain worn out every night from all the excitement.

Just Because...

Just because, I think she is cute.
(One of her hair bands is falling out,
but her hair is long enough for some pig tails)

Jack has decided he likes limes.

Believe it or not, he really does like them.
Kept making the face and going back for more.

Mr. and Miss Clean

If Jack and Hannah's older cousin Ryan knew how much my children liked to clean he would be very proud! Lately these little guys enjoy doing whatever I am doing. Jack LOVES to sweep and swiffer my floors for me.

Here they are helping me clean the wall. Somebody (Jack) found an ink pen and colored on my wall. I used the magic eraser (I love that thing) and they used wash cloths.

I think they are discussing who did a better cleaning job.

Big Hair

We are back from vacation. We were gone for 11 days on a trip out East to NY and Pittsburgh to visit Mark's family. There are lots of pictures so I will be getting to those soon. For now we have been settling back into daily life. This weekend Mark enjoyed a camping trip with the guys, I had some quality time with the kiddos, and we spent Labor Day afternoon among good friends.

Totally unrelated, this is a picture that made me smile. Mark emailed me this picture with a caption that read ...

"This is how dad likes to do Hannah's hair
when mama goes to the gym!"
